From Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG) to Xianghu Lake, Hangzhou

1. Fastest Option:

- High-speed train rom Shanghai Hongqiao Station Hangzhou East Station (1hr, ¥75/$10).
- Then take Metro Line 4 → Line 1 to Xianghu Station (50min, ¥6/$1).
- Total time: ~2.5hrs , Cost ¥80/$11.

2. Direct Option:

- Taxi/Didi from PVG (2.5hrs, ¥400-600/$55-82).

Guangzhou Baiyun Airport to Xianghu Lake, Hangzhou

From Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (CAN) to Xianghu Lake, Hangzhou

1. Best Option:

- Fly to Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport (HGH) (2hrs, ¥500-800/$70-110).
- Then take Metro Line 7 → Line 1 to Xianghu Station (1hr, ¥10/$1.50).

2. Alternative:

- High-speed train from Guangzhou South Station → Hangzhou East (6-7hrs, ¥720/$100), then Metro Line 1.

From Shanghai PVG Airport to Hangzhou Qiandao Lake

Option 1: Fastest & Most Convenient (High-speed train + car transfer)

From Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG) to Xianghu Lake, Hangzhou

Step 1: PVG Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (approx. 60–90 min)

- Taxi / Didi (recommended for convenience): ~200–250 RMB
- Metro (cheapest): Line 2 (takes about 1.5 hours)

Step 3: Hangzhou East Railway Station to Qiandao Lake (approx. 2 hours by car/transfer)

- Private car or pre-booked transfer (recommended): ~500–800 RMB
- Public bus (less recommended for visitors): ~3 hours and limited service

Option 2: Direct Airport Transfer (Most comfortable but costly)

Private Transfer from PVG Airport to Qiandao Lake directly

- Time: ~4 to 5 hours depending on traffic
- Cost: ~1500–2500 RMB (book via car service or hotel)

Good for groups or large luggage, but not the fastest option.

Travel Guide From Hangzhou to Qiandao Lake:

By Car / Private Transfer (Recommended for convenience)

- Time: About 2–2.5 hours
- Distance: ~150–180 km depending on starting point in Hangzhou
- Recommended for:
- Groups
- Travelers with luggage
- Those going directly to hotels, race venues or the lake area

Options:

- Hotel car service or local chauffeur company (~600–900 RMB one way)
- Didi (available but sometimes limited for long distance trips)

By High-speed Train (Recommended for budget and comfort)

- Route: Hangzhou East / Hangzhou West Station → Qiandaohu Railway Station
- Time: About 1 hour 20 minutes
- Tickets: ~55–85 RMB
- Train Frequency: Every hour (check Ctrip or 12306 app for updated schedules)

After arriving at Qiandaohu Railway Station:

- To Qiandao Lake Tourist Area: 15–30 mins by taxi or hotel shuttle (~30–60 RMB)

By Bus (Budget option but slower)

- Departure: Hangzhou West Bus Station (杭州汽车西站)
- Destination: Qiandao Lake Bus Station (千岛湖客运中心)
- Time: ~2.5 to 3 hours
- Tickets: ~65–75 RMB
- Frequency: Every hour during daytime

Note: Less flexible and slower, but direct
